Corné Brink

Devoted conservationist with a passion for the local indigenous flora of the Southern Cape.

Corné’s journey started in the botanical garden industry, but soon she developed a passion for safeguarding indigenous and endemic ecosystems. Today she is restoration manager for Grootvadersbosch Conservancy. One of their projects, together with IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature), are the restoration and protection of the Huis River that flows through Barrydale to create a safe home for the critically endangered Barrydale Redfin. Corné will talk about locally indigenous species that were planted to restore the river at the caravan park. Saturday 19 October 11h05.
